Shakey Cakey – Try These Delicious Shakeology Cake Recipes

Introducing Shakey Cakey!

Shakey Cakey – even if this is not technically or grammatically correct, me & Diane are making it ‘a thing’!

We’ve tried a few variants of spicing up our Shakeology now, I love all of them! The very first shakey cakey we tried ended up being far too dry, we simply overdid the timing in the microwave. Since then, we’ve never eaten so much cake since we were kids! Knowing how nutrient dense and good for you Shakeology is, it’s particularly satisfying knowing we’re having what feels like a treat without blowing our fitness and fat loss goals.

So what’s in Shakey Cakey?

Variant 1 – The Original Shakey Cakey

  • 1 x egg
  • 2 x tbsp semi skimmed milk
  • 1 x scoop Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1 x tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 x squirt of low fat squirty cream!

Preparation / Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients in a bowl (not the pb)
  2. Spray a large microwave safe bowl with spray light or other cooking spray
  3. Microwave for 45 seconds to a minute – I suggest 45 seconds to leave it gooey in the middle
  4. When done, go round the edge of the bowl with a knife, then turn out onto a plate, add a squirt of cream & enjoy! 😋

Variant 2 – Shakey Cakey Peanut Butter Topping

This version is exactly the same as above, just with 1 x tbsp of peanut butter added on top and without the squirty cream and microwaved in a mug, not a bowl.

Shakey Cakey Peanut Butter Topping contains the following ingredients

  • 1 x egg
  • 2 x tbsp semi skimmed milk
  • 1 x scoop Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1 x tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 x tbsp peanut butter

Preparation / Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients in a bowl (not the pb)
  2. Spray a large microwave safe mug with spray light or other cooking spray
  3. Microwave for 45 seconds to a minute – I suggest 45 seconds to leave it gooey in the middle
  4. When done, go round the edge of the mug with a knife, then turn out onto a plate, add the peanut butter & enjoy! 😋

Variant 3 – Shakey Cakey Peanut Butter Fusion

This version is exactly the same as version 1, just with 1 x tbsp of peanut butter fused in the middle.

Shakey Cakey Peanut Butter Version contains the following ingredients:

  • 1 x egg
  • 2 x tbsp semi skimmed milk
  • 1 x scoop Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1 x tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 x squirt of low fat squirty cream!

Preparation / Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients in a bowl (not the pb)
  2. Spray a large microwave safe bowl with spray light or other cooking spray
  3. Add the peanut butter on top of the mixture
  4. Use a spoon to kind of fold the mixture around the peanut butter
  5. Microwave for 45 seconds to a minute – I suggest 45 seconds to leave it gooey in the middle
  6. When done, go round the edge of the bowl with a knife, then turn out onto a plate & enjoy! 😋

Variant 4 – Shakey Cup Cakey, Chocolate Version

These lovely little cup cakes are more portable, we end up taking these into work as a tasty and nutrition dense snack. Lovely with a cup of coffee!

Shakey Cup Cakey Chocolate Version contains the following ingredients
  • 40g porridge oats
  • 2 dessert spoons of fat free Greek yoghurt
  • A few drops of vanilla essence
  • I medium egg
  • 1 teaspoon of sweetener
  • 1/2 scoop of Shakeology
  • Handful of raspberries

Preparation / Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas 6
  2. Mix all the ingredients together
  3. Spray muffin tin with spray light then spoon into muffin tin. (Usually makes 3 muffins/cakes)
  4. Place frozen raspberries on top of each muffin/cake (optional)
  5. Bake in the oven for 35 minutes, or until browned.

Variant 5 – Shakey Cup Cakey, Vanilla Version

These lovely little cup cakes are more portable, we end up taking these into work as a tasty and nutrition dense snack. Lovely with a cup of coffee!

Variant 6 – Shakey Pancakey & Nutella

Pancake Tuesday and we just HAD to make these! We’ve since had them for breakfast at weekends too.shakey cakey nutella

Shakey Cup Pancakey Nutella Version contains the following ingredients
  • 100g plain flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 300ml milk
  • 1 tbsp spray light oil, plus a little extra for frying
  • 1 scoop Shakeology

Preparation / Instructions

  1. Put the flour, eggs, milk, 1 tbsp oil and a pinch of salt into a bowl or large jug, then whisk to a smooth batter. Set aside for 30 mins to rest if you have time, or start cooking straight away
  2. Set a medium frying pan or crêpe pan over a medium heat and carefully wipe it with some oiled kitchen paper. When hot, cook your pancakes for 1 min on each side until golden, keeping them warm in a low oven as you go.
  3. Serve with Nutella and a few hazel nuts sprinkled on top (or any topping of your choice)

Variant 7 – Shakey Pancakey – Another Variant

Another pancake variant which was delicious.shakey cakey nuts and caramel sauce
If I remember correctly we used caramel sauce and a few nuts.
